Tour of Biblical Israel, with Optional Jordan Extension
November 1-9 (Jordan 9-11), 2026
February 7-15 (Jordan 15-17), 2027

Day 1, Sunday: Nov 1 // Feb 7
Arrive at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport and meet our guide and bus. From the airport, we will visit the ancient port city of Jaffa (Joppa), where Jonah tried to flee God’s command, and where Peter received a vision declaring that the Gentiles should receive the gospel as well. But we will soon head to our hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and bed.
Day 2, Monday: Nov 2 // Feb 8
Moving north along the coast, we will first visit the ancient city of Caesarea, where Herod reigned and where Paul was imprisoned for two years. From there we come to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. Our next stop is Megiddo (“Armageddon” literally means “Mount of Megiddo”). Our hotel this evening is in Tiberias, a city on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 3, Tuesday: Nov 3 // Feb 9
This is a “Ministry of Jesus” day. We begin with a visit to the “Jesus boat” – an actual first century fishing boat. Then we will board a somewhat newer vessel for our own voyage on the Sea of Galilee. We will visit Capernaum, and enter the synagogue where Jesus taught. We’ll stop at the Mt. of Beatitudes, the purported site of Jesus’ most famous teaching. Next, further north to Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus declared that the Gates of Hell would not prevail against his church. We return to our hotel in Tiberias.
Day 4, Wednesday: Nov 4 // Feb 10
We will begin our day with a visit to Nazareth, Jesus’ childhood home. Then we begin to make our way down the valley of the Jordan River, for a stop at the springs of Harod, where Gideon selected his army according to God’s instructions. Further south is Beit Shean (New Testament Scythopolis) where the bodies of Saul and Jonathan were hung on the city walls. We will end our day by ascending to Jerusalem, and our hotel.

Day 5, Thursday: Nov 5 // Feb 11
We plan to visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, before returning to the area of the Temple Mount and the western wall (formerly the “wailing wall”). From there we move to the adjacent City of David excavations, before returning to our hotel for the evening.
Day 6, Friday: Nov 6 // Feb 12
On this day we begin atop the Mount of Olives with the breathtaking view of Jerusalem before us. We descend to the Garden of Gethsemane, before crossing over the Kidron valley to return to ancient Jerusalem. We will visit the pools of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the lame man. Finally, we will visit the Garden Tomb and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, both purported sites of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Return to our hotel.

Day 7, Saturday: Nov 7 // Feb 13
On this day we will visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea scrolls are displayed, as well as a huge scale model of first century Jerusalem. This day should allow plenty of additional time for rest, shopping, or other exploration.
Day 8, Sunday: Nov 8 // Feb 14
We leave Jerusalem for the day to descend to the area of the Dead Sea. We will visit the Caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered (and the ascetic community of John the Baptist?). Nearby is Masada, the stronghold of Herod and the last refuge of the Jewish people against the Romans. From there, we visit the Dead Sea itself to enjoy floating (not swimming …) in its mineral rich waters. Eventually, we return to our hotel in Jerusalem for our final night in Israe.
Day 9, Monday: Nov 9 // Feb 15
Today we return to Ben Gurion airport for our flights home, or, for those on the optional extension, we drive on across the border to Petra.
Optional Extension to Jordan (intended Itinerary)

Day 9, Monday: Nov 9 // Feb 15
Crossing into Jordan, we will visit Mt. Nebo, where Moses gave his farewell address to Israel and climbed to view the promised land. Nearby is Madaba, famous for its ancient maps and mosaics.
Day 10, Tuesday: Nov 10 // Feb 16
The highlight of a trip to Jordan is the breath-taking site of Petra, carved into the rocks of biblical Edom (and Indiana Jones and the Holy Grail fame). This will be a full day of enjoying this site, before moving on to our hotel near Amman.
Day 11, Wednesday: Nov 11 // Feb 17
This day marks the end of our tour, as we will go to Queen Alia Internation airport in Amman for our return flights home.
