1st DAY May 28, 2027 / Arrival THESSALONIKI AIRPORT - KAVALA Overnight

Arrival in Thessaloniki Airport. Afterwards we will have a group transfer to our hotel in Kavala for check-in. 

 

2nd DAY / May 29, 2027 / KAVALA - PHILIPPI - THESSALONIKI Overnight

After breakfast we visit Kavala (Neapolis), Paul’s first step in bringing the Gospel to present day Europe. A picturesque port, we view the Byzantine Castle and the Roman Aqueduct. Afterwards, we travel onto Philippi. There, we visit the Baptistery of Lydia near the river, where Paul baptized her. Lydia was the first convert of Paul on European soil, followed by the jailer. Also, we visit the ruins of the Forum of Philippi, the Christian Basilicas, the “Prison of Paul” and the Theater. We follow the route of the Via Egnatia and visit, like Paul and his companions, the area of Amphipolis, to see the famous funerary Lion of Amphipolis. Then, we return to Thessaloniki.

 

3rd DAY / May 30, 2027 / THESSALONIKI Overnight

After breakfast we will have a tour in Thessaloniki with the landmarks of the city: the White Tower, the Walls of the Byzantine Acropolis, the Roman Arch of Galerius and the Rotonda. We visit two of the city’s oldest and most admired Christian churches, the Basilicas of St. Demetrius and St. Sophia. Afternoon is free. 

 

4th DAY / May 31, 2027 / THESSALONIKI - VERIA - VERGINA - KALAMBAKA Overnight

After breakfast, we will depart for the capital of Imathia, which name is Veria. It is built at the foot of Mount Vermio. We will have free time to visit the Step of Apostle Paul. Afterwards, we will proceed to Vergina, where we will visit the museum with the four tombs, two of which are the most significant, and a small shrine, the Heroes Garden. Two of the tombs are the most significant, the one of Philip II and the other of Alexander the fourth. We continue to Kalambaka. 

 

5th DAY / June 01, 2027 / KALAMBAKA - METEORA - DELPHI Overnight

After breakfast, this morning we see the world-famous Byzantine monasteries in Meteora, that are perched on summits of gray rock peaks of varied and beautiful shapes. Their history goes back to the 14th century when the monks sought refuge in the cliff-side caves, then fled higher to build the original wooden shelters, which were later transformed into monasteries. On the way to Delphi, we will also visit Thermopylae, the iconic location where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartans made their heroic stand against the Persian army. Afterwards, we continue to Delphi. 

6th DAY / June 02, 2027 / DELPHI - OLYMPIA Overnight

After breakfast, we will depart and visit Delphi. Ιt was an ancient Greek city in which the most important Oracle of ancient Greek world was operated. Earlier myths include traditions that Pythia, or the Delphic oracle, already was the site of an important oracle in the pre-classical Greek world (as early as 1400 BC) and, rededicated, served as the major site during classical times for the worship of the god Apollo after he slew Python, "a dragon" who lived there and protected the navel of the Earth. We will be guided around the archaeological site and the Museum. We will depart for Olympia. 

 

7th DAY / June 03, 2027 / OLYMPIA - NAFPLION Overnight

After breakfast, we will explore Ancient Olympia, the cradle of the ancient Olympic Games. We will walk through its historic ruins, including the grand Temple of Zeus and the ancient stadium. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia enriches the experience with exquisite artifacts, such as the Hermes of Praxiteles. We continue to Nafplion. 

 

8th DAY / June 04, 2027 / NAFPLION - ANCIENT CORINTH - CENCHREAE - ATHENS Overnight

After breakfast, we will continue our sightseeing with a visit to Ancient Corinth. This is the once-glorious city near the Isthmus, where Paul met Aquilla and Priscilla and spent a year and a half preaching the Word of God. We visit the Archaeological Museum, the Forum, the Temples, and the famous Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio, accused by the Jews of Corinth. Then we drive to Cenchreae, the little harbor from which Paul sailed back to Asia, thus ending his second missionary journey. On our way to Athens, we will have also a visit to the Greek Bible College. We continue to our hotel in Athens

 

9th DAY / June 05, 2027 / ATHENS Overnight

After breakfast, we will have a Tour starting from the Panathenaic Stadium known as Kallimarmaro. In Antiquity was used for the celebration of Panathenea in honour of Goddess Athena. You will have free time to take photos. Boarding the coach and departure to see the Zappeion Hall, the Greek Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the symbolic monument in the memory of the Soldiers who died for their country. Then, along Panepistimiou Street, one of the most central streets of Athens, we will see the triad of neoclassical buildings: The Library, the Academy and the University. We will visit Mars Hill (Acts 17:16-34) and the Acropolis with magnificent monuments such as the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, the Ancient Agora, the theatre of Dionysus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. We will have the chance to walk around the Parthenon Monument, which was built in the 5th century BC by the architects Ictinus and Kallikrates. Free time in Plaka area. Return to the hotel. 

 

10th DAY / June 06, 2027 / ATHENS - ATHENS AIRPORT Departure

After breakfast, we depart for Athens Airport.  Depart with the best memories.

 

Rates:

For the tour of Greece: $3100 per person, double occupancy. (Single supplement: $850)

These rates include: all accommodations in 4- and 5-star hotels, travel in country in “luxury touring coaches,” admission to all scheduled sites, licensed English-speaking guides, whisper units (earpieces) where available, breakfast and dinner each day, and tips for guides and drivers.

These rates do not include:

International airfare (this trip officially begins at the Thessaloniki airport, and concludes at the final departure airport of Athens). Lunches, additional drinks, travel insurance (we strongly recommend travel insurance), and personal expenses.

Initial Deposit: $500 (This deposit is non-refundable, unless we cancel the trip due to inadequate registration.)
